Design Museum Den Bosch
Role
Experience design, Spatial design, Graphic design
In the exhibition "The Ghosts of Sunday Morning," Design Museum Den Bosch honors the craftspeople of the European Ceramic Work Centre (EKWC). Thirty seminal works from the EKWC's history are recreated in white clay, creating an intriguing, almost ghostly atmosphere where the past and present intertwine.
To intensify the eerie atmosphere, the works are presented on transparent columns that slowly fill with mist and are subtly illuminated from below. This creates a mysterious, almost ethereal aura. The experience is further enriched with a soundscape featuring the distinctive sound of ceramics freshly kilned. This creates a complete sensory experience that seems to blur the lines between the tangible and the intangible.
