Who is Rembrandt? Everyone has an idea of the type of man he was. But is that accurate? Since the 17th century, Rembrandt has been portrayed in various ways: as a man of the people, a wayward artist, a hero, a misunderstood genius, and a saint. Each time, his life story was adapted; some facts were omitted, others distorted, always to promote a particular type. Rembrandt is framed.
The exhibition "Framing Rembrandt" explored various themes. Thanks to the well-thought-out layout and effective use of color, a clear and visually appealing exhibition has been created.
